Trauma isn’t defined by what happened to you. It’s what happened inside you as a result of what happened to you. It’s the imprint left when your body’s survival system had to act fast to keep you safe and never fully came back to calm. You might find yourself feeling detached, hypervigilant, easily startled, or struggling to trust. You might not even connect these reactions to trauma, just a sense that you can’t quite relax, no matter how much you try.
Hypnotherapy for Trauma
Trauma lives in the nervous system. When the body doesn’t get the chance to complete its stress cycle, it stays stuck in fight, flight, or freeze. The world starts to feel unpredictable, even when it’s not. From a Human Mismatch perspective, this makes sense: our biology evolved for a world where community, rhythm, and safety signals were built into daily life. Modern living rarely gives our systems those cues, leaving us in chronic alert.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
DO I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE TRAUMA?
Only if you want to. Many people heal through understanding their patterns, not retelling events.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDHOOD TRAUMA?
There are five stages of addiciton recovery,Yes — this is a large part of my practice.
IS THIS SUITABLE IF I SHUT DOWN, DISSOCIATE OR FEEL OVERWHELMED?
Yes. We go slowly and build safety first.
IS THIS "REGRESSION HYPNOTHERAPY"?
Sometimes. I use non-state hypnosis — grounded, safe, and always in your control. Sometimes we use regression back to childhood.
CAN TRAUMA SHOW UP AS ANXIETY, EXHAUSTION OR OVERTHINKING?
Absolutely. We explore the whole system, not isolated symptoms.
WELCOME
Welcome to my website, a space where I try to catch your eye, and explain the heart of my practice.
My journey over 17 years has taught me that true knowledge isn’t about the letters after my name or the timeline of my academic pursuits (though you can read more about them here). It’s about the stories shared, the moments of vulnerability, and the human connection that transforms both you and me. It’s holding space, listening intently, and noticing the patterns within your words and emotions. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life, embracing both the shadow and the light. So, if you’re seeking more than just a quick fix, and ready to make lasting changes, you’re in the right place. Let’s embark on this journey together.
